I just saw this one in the digital newsrag, and something occurred to me. Do pirate DVDs smell different from the legitimately purchased variety? Is there a salty tang of hard tack and tar to them? Do they smell like Johnny Depp's armpits? If not then how do the dogs differentiate between, say, a wife taking a very special and deliciously intimate home-brewed DVD to her husband overseas and some teenaged kid's Thai knock-off version of Kung Fu Hustle with Mandarin subtitles? Or what if the disc has copies of TV shows for later viewing? According to this article, that won't be illegal here soon.
Of course we do have to protect all those poor American movie studios that are going belly-up and all the famous Hollywood actors who are too poor to feed and clothe their botoxed children...
