Programming (or more correctly, helping JamieWNLJ program) a convention is a) fun b) demanding and c) like a Chokito bar, full of nuts.

I spent last night troubleshooting the AV for The Liminal (they were using my laptop to show the flick) and spent the movie sitting next to treehouseworld the writer and director of the opus who cringed and grabbed my arm at every flaw or mistake in the work print she was showing. I enjoyed the flick and admired the amount of work that treehouseworld and her team put into it. The other films were good too but half way through the Liminal, we got the news that queen_nephthys's father Peter is in hospital with pneumonia. Her mum Annette insisted that we don't leave the convention, but it is weighing heavily on us both right now.

Dave and Barbara Freer have been wonderful conventiom guests and also incredibly supportive of queen_nephthys who has been running the rego desk on what is essentially her first convention. They're definitely fine people and their kindness has me in awe. In fact a lot of people have been giving queen_nephthys some well deserved egoboo and support, so thanks to one and all. We both luv ya all.

There have been a few people who have been utter arseholes, but in general, good con and good vibes. Also I got to award dalekboy a Best Fan Writer Ditmar, and I'm extremely pleased with that result and honoured that I was asked to give out that particular gong.
