Collections and Transformers

queen_nephthys, being the somewhat anal person she is, occasionally decides to get my collections of things organised. Apart from the ever swelling ranks of DVDs we have, there's my collection of playing cards to sort out, the small souvenir statues of famous landmarks - the Burj-Al-Arab, Eiffel Tower, Blackpool Tower, Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Sydney Opera House and not so famous ones, like the Ben Boyd Tower in Eden NSW. She tends to leave alone the small fast food toy collection on my desk hutch, but it's sweet that she has this fussy habit of organising things she doesn't even like much.

On a dumber note, I saw the Transformer movies up at the Werribee 10 on cheap Tuesday (today). Frank Lloyd Wright once described television as chewing gum for the eyes. Transformers was pop rocks for the eyes. Sound and fury signifying nothing. Another blockbuster flick where the CG effects are the story. Actors like John Turturro, Bernie Mac and John Voight were wasted on this one. I began to nod off during the action sequences when they got repetitive and lackluster. One big robot hits another one and they both take out some real estate. *Yawn*. Lame arsed jokes where ghetto blaster robot acts like a player *yawn*. Plot holes you could drive a decepticon through *yawn*.

Having said that, I can't wait for Die Hard 4.0 to come out.
