queen_nephthys and I did some overtime on the weekend and when we arrived home on Saturday afternoon, we found that we had an impromptu water feature pouring across the driveway into the garden bed from a ruptured water heater tank. With much gnashing of teeth we called Origin Energy and cut a deal to have the thing replaced on Monday (yesterday) with some kind of funky six month interest free deal which included a free two year subscription to Men's Health magazine for me. Fortunately we had a day off on Monday and the guy did the task, leaving the usual debris around the place.

On the bright side, we spent Sunday morning at South Melbourne Market buying posh but cheap provender, including a couple of great lamb shanks which I cooked up yesterday with some shallots and Royal Blue potatoes. I hadn't been to SMM since Keating was Prime Minister, so the trip was fun. Purchased a joke gift for some friends and stocked up on veggies and gourmet cheeses.
