After chasing around town unsuccessfully for an ASUS EEE which for some reason is only available @ Myer Stores where the salespeople are arseholes, I decided that my tech toy fix was going to be satisfied with an 80 gigabyte I-Pod Classic. It's odd having a music/video player with twice the HD space of my laptop. I've been watching Boingboing TV on it and the video quality looks good. I have five hundred songs on it and the little gauge is only a smidge away from empty. Sound quality is good and the guys at JB Hi Fi gave me a discount and a free silicone cover for it. I have I-Tunes as an interface, so I suppose I'll start hunting for a third party freeware app to let me add stuff to the player without using all my bandwidth up on downloaded pics advettising Delta Goodrem songs that I-Tunes seems to think I want to download. (I'd rather pluck my own pubic hair with my teeth. I'm more an electronica trip-hop showtunes, soundtracks and jazz kinda guy).
