Okay here it is. Post links to 10 web sites from your bookmarks that you a) think your friends would like b) aren't as well known as you think they should be and c) show your interests other than those most of your friends know about. Add a note on why you like them.
Here's mine:
Hollywood Stock Exchange = buy and sell fake stocks on movies and movie people.
Singin' And Swingin' downloadable jazz and soundtrack albums. May not be entirely legal, but they have the good stuff and the price is right.
Daily Galaxy All the news between Mercury and the Oort Cloud.
If Charlie Parker Was a Gunslinger, There'd Be a Whole Lot of Dead Copycats Pictures and texts about the cultural history of the 20th Century. Always interesting stuff, an archive of the recent century.
Ikeahacker Cool ways to hack Ikea products into stylish and useful furniture. This one inspired me to make an articulated podcasting microphone arm by buying at $18 desk lamp and taking away the lamp part.
Drive-Ins Down Under an urban history web site for drive-in theatres. Haven't been to a drive-in in way too long...
Tim Lucas' Video WatchblogThe blog of Tim's marvellous dead tree magazine Video Watchdog. I just wish I could afford his book on Mario Bava.
Groovy Age of Horror Lots of old horror and Doc Savage novel reviews as well as some looks at pornographic fumetti that I'd love to add to my collection.
The French Journal a great and accessible site for information for Francophiles like moi.
Project PimentoThe web site for the only theremin lounge band in the World. Their version of the theme from Barbarella rocks!
Okay, have at it. I need new things to bookmark.
