Sal and I enjoyed an al fresco evening last night in the
Belgian Beer Cafe Bluestone which, it should be noted is somewhat tongue in cheek. Having a beer emporium inside the grounds of the Royal Victorian Institute of the Blind is something of an ironic statement. The Hoegaarten witbier was fine and the finger foods brought around was satisfying. Little baguettes with ham, camembert and cos lettuce, vegetable fritatta slices, little bratwursts with sauerkraut on rolls and barbecued prawn skewers. Introduced Sal to my team. left fairly early but had a great time. Still can't believe that so many people still smoke in the 21st Century. Maybe if we put in a worldwide ban on lung cancer research it would scare 'em a bit.
