I'm having a quiet, chill out, watch lots of DVDs weekend right now.
queen_nephthys is sleeping in, and I'm catching up on the last few episodes of Studio 60. I plan to do extremely little for the next two days.
Since the funeral of my father, I've been a little contemplative, but not really depressed. Again, he gives me a good bad example to follow. Live life to the fullest, keep my mind active and engaged, look forward to the future, savour the small joys of life and love family and friends. One of the realisations I've had is that in spite of my glitches and idiosyncracies, I'm a lot less fucked up than some of my family, and much much less than I might have been. The life I live is an achievement to a greater degree than it might have been for other people with different upbringings. And I feel good about that.
Now back to watching DVDs, drinking coffee and nibbling bhuja mix.
